These SMS Terms and Conditions describe how MyTutoringExperts ("we," "us," or "our") communicates with you by SMS text message. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through our website, you agree to these terms.

1. SMS Consent

By submitting your phone number and opting in — through an online form and the SMS consent checkbox, or by replying to a confirmation message — you give permission for MyTutoringExperts to send you SMS text messages related to the categories described below.

We will never sell, lease, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. Providing SMS consent is completely optional and is never required to use our Services or to be matched with an Expert.

2. Types of SMS Communications

If you opt in, you may receive SMS messages from MyTutoringExperts related to:

Match & Scheduling Updates

Example message: "Hi! This is MyTutoringExperts — you've been matched with an academic expert in Statistics. Reply STOP to opt out at any time."

Account & Support Notifications

Example message: "MyTutoringExperts: Your request has been received and is being reviewed. Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out."

Marketing & Promotional Messages

Example message: "MyTutoringExperts: Need help wrapping up the semester? Ask about our exam-prep sessions this week. Reply STOP to opt out."

Marketing messages are only sent to users who have affirmatively opted in to this category, and are never sent to recipients who have not consented. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time while continuing to receive match, scheduling, and account-related messages, or opt out of all SMS communications entirely.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with our Services and the categories you've opted into. You may receive up to 4–8 messages per month related to matching, scheduling, account updates, and — if you've opted in — occasional marketing or promotional messages. Frequency may be higher during active scheduling periods or promotional campaigns.

4. Potential SMS Fees

Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan. MyTutoringExperts is not responsible for any charges billed to you by your wireless carrier.

Our SMS messages are intended to be delivered across major US wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

If you would rather not receive SMS messages, simply do not select the SMS consent checkbox during sign-up. You can still use all of our matching Services and receive updates by email instead. If you only wish to receive operational messages (match, scheduling, and account updates) and not marketing messages, you may indicate this when opting in, or reply STOP to any marketing message while remaining subscribed to operational messages.
